About Birds
At 11 Bridge Street, NG24 1EE you will find Birds, a bakery serving Newark on Trent town centre. It is a classic British high-street baker: think sausage rolls, pasties, iced buns and fresh bloomers. It is one of 57 Birds locations we list across the UK.
We do not hold confirmed hours for this particular branch – station and shopping-centre branches often open earlier and close later than high-street ones. Food hygiene officers from Newark and Sherwood rated it 5 – Very good when they inspected on 17 November 2025.
The nearest public transport is Newark Castle station, about 9 minutes away on foot (0.4 mi). It is not the only option nearby: there are 2 more bakeries within a kilometre, so a bakery crawl is easily done.
